Dues are now due for the new jail lists - $100 

Updates were given on procedures of replacing one surety bond for another with the clerk's office; if you have any problems with this issue see Jon Von Aiken.

Inmate phone calls from the jail should be free to bondsman and attorney from central booking

If posting bond on defendant that is scheduled for IA court he/she will be pulled from court up until that person is in the waiting room waiting to go into the courtroom or actually in the courtroom. If in question, the clerk receiving the bond shall make a call (upon request) to see where the defendant is in line and if not 3-4 from seeing the Judge they will be pulled out and bonded.  The Supervisor, Courney Padgett has instructed us that this is the policy in place.  If they will not call for you, please make sure you get there name and get with John to address.

Sherry Johnson is the new person in charge of the Osceola County Jail and is excited about working with us to ensure the procedures are in order with the phone list,  phone calls and interviews with defendants.  If you are registered in Osceola County you will have your name and phone number listed at the jail.  We need to check into the credit card machines that are placed at the jail and the charging of the 10% fee and taking bonds away from our industry. This is a high number of bonds being lost.

President will be meeting with Hal Uhrig about the Administrative Order presented to Chief Judge and that ROR's were not addressed and the jail is letting alot of defendants out on ROR's instead of PTR's.

President also wants to meet with the warrants department about issues on verifing warrants and why they are not put in crimeline or NCIC and will keep up posted as information is received.

Association wants to suggest to the Judges that VOP's on misdemeanors are given a bond so that we may help if they want to do a walk thru.  If you hear of anyone charging extra fees other than collateral; gather the information and forward to John.

Property release delay is because of the lack movement officers and will try and discuss this at the next meeting with the jail on maybe dealing directly with property office, even if we have to take the release to them ourselves.

Doran to bring to the association matters being worked on with Florida Statutes 648 and 903 at the State Representative level that involves our industry with specifics.
